Finally, it’s good news for popwreck Britney Spears.
The malfunctioning mother of two young sons may be on the right track after all… at least that’s how a judge sees it.
The singer was just awarded overnight privileges with her sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1 by a judge assigned to her custody case.
The decision was announced a few hours ago and already rumors are spreading that Spears might regain all of her custody rights (the ones that were completely stripped from her following her mass meltdown in January) by the end of the summer.
Sources connected to the case point to the reappearance of famed divorce attorney Laura Wasser (she’s repped the likes of divorce seeking stars such as Angelina Jolie, Kiefer Sutherland and Denise Richards) as the reason why Spears might be able to finagle the deal. You’ll recall Wasser dumped Brit as a client when the drama queen started spiraling out of control. Insiders are now speculating that Wasser’s return is a sign that Spears is lucid again.
The pop princess hasn’t gotten to spend the night with her children since the crazy spell she cast earlier this year that landed her in the psych ward at a California hospital.
Spears’ demeanor in court today was described as “businesslike” and paps caught her smiling as she exited the courthouse.
Another big winner today is the Biggest Loser’s host, Alison Sweeney.
The 31-year-old “Days of Our Lives” star turned weight loss show leader is about to add to her family.
Sweeney broke the news last night in front of the Season 6 cast of NBC’s hit show “The Biggest Loser.”
The actress and her husband, Dave Sanov, have a 3-year-old son, Ben.
So I guess this means that Sweeney will be packing on the pounds at the same time she is encouraging “Biggest Loser” contestants to ditch their extra baggage.
