It’s a classic case of good news/bad news.
The good news for Britney Spears is that someone actually wants to represent her in court—-for free.
Now that her third (or is it her fourth) team of attorneys has petitioned the court to free them of working for the popwreck, divorce lawyer and former “The Apprentice” contestant Stacy Schneider is offering her services to Spears free of charge.
Goodness knows the derailed singer could use all the help she can get (both legal and otherwise) and Schneider claims she has what it takes for Brit to regain custody of her two young sons.
Schneider, who actually has experience in high-profile divorce cases, recently told news reporters that she would even “move into Britney’s house” to help her get control of her life and win her kids back.
“I hope my offer to represent her at no charge is communicated to her,” said Schneider, who also authored “He Had It Coming: How to Outsmart your Husband and Win your Divorce.”
Even if the head shaving songstress doesn’t take Schneider up on her offer, the former reality TV star says Spears should follow her advice on how to bounce back after being stripped of all contact with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Schneider’s first tip for Spears? Stay home.
“Number one, I would tell Britney to hibernate. She’ll no longer be airing her personal business in public. She needs to stay inside and stop the Starbucks runs so that no more bad-behavior stories leak out. If have to move with her and stay in and order Netflix with her so she doesn’t go out, I will,” Schneider told reporters.
Her second recommendation is for Spears to shut her mouth. “Britney has to stop mouthing off to the judge,” said Schneider. “She has to learn to control her emotions.”
Finally, the next time Britney is forced to court (and actually shows) Schneider says Spears needs to practice her testimony. “She only has one shot to win her kids back and she’s not able to lip-synch her way through her testimony. What Britney’s doing now is showing everyone that she’s irresponsible or just doesn’t care.”
Now, on to the bad news for Brit… While Schneider tries to break into Brit’s camp TMZ is reporting that the 26-year-old’s parents are trying to get her committed into a mental health facility for treatment of what appears to be a severe bipolar disorder.
According to reports, the Spears’ have put together a team of professionals (of which Dr. Phil is no longer a part of) who have formulated “creative” ways to either get Britney to commit herself voluntarily or secure a court order forcing the mom of two into in-patient treatment.
The way TMZ tells it if involuntary commitment is the route the Spears’ take, then Britney must be picked up by cops–again–on a placed on a “5150 Hold.” While she’s in the hospital, health care professionals can then employ the services of a County Public Guardian, who can ask a judge for what’s called a “conservatorship.” The conservator would then have the option of having the queen of meltdowns involuntarily committed to a mental hospital.
