Britney’s Reformation Goes Up in Smoke

Just when you thought Britney Spears was finally getting her life back together the media sends up smoke signals that all may not be well at Casa Crazy.

The media is fired up, but the smoke is actually coming from Spears… via a cigarette.

According to reports, the pop star’s parenting skills have come under question once again after she was photographed exposing her young sons to second-hand smoke.

Last week members of the paparazzi shot Ms. Meltdown standing in a bikini next to her 2-year-old son Sean Preston lighting up and then taking a few drags before turning her head away to exhale.

Video taken from the “Toxic” star’s Beverly Hills, California home also shows Sean Preston attempting to play with his mom’s cigarettes. According to paps on the scene, the curious toddler holds a lighter in one hand and reaches for a pack of Britney’s Marlboros with the other. The video then shows Spears slapping Sean Preston’s hand to stop the inquisitive tot from taking her precious cancer sticks away from her.

The incident comes just days after Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline settled their ongoing custody dispute concerning Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. Under the agreement (which still needs to be approved by a judge) Federline retains sole custody of the boys while Spears is allowed three visits per week with her sons, including an overnight stay.

By the way, in case you were wondering how this smoking incident stacks up against all the other questionable acts Spears has exposed her children to consider that studies have proven that there are links between second-hand smoke and childhood illnesses, including ear infections, bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory ailments.

What do you make of the latest Britney brouhaha?

Do you think her carelessness is putting her children in imminent danger or do you write it off as a young parent making a poor lifestyle choice?
