What is your excuse? Do you find reasons to neglect your fitness routine or even to start one? It is easier to neglect it then to commit to a fitness routine. Sadly, it is also easier to gain weight then to lose weight. We develop bad habits that cause us to feel tired both physically and emotionally. If truth be told, you need to be ready physically and emotionally to begin a fitness routine if you hope to be successful. I know I have had every excuse in the book to not workout. I know I need to and I will remark on how important it is to workout yet excuses love to worm there way in.
So how do you combat the excuses that betray our intentions to get into good shape? The best way to combat the excuses is to simply not listen to them. When an excuse wiggles in just block it out. Yes, it is that simple. It may not be easy but it is necessary if you expect to beat the excuses. The key is self control and putting your goals ahead of your excuses.
Don’t give excuses ground to stand on. Get the right amount of sleep so you cannot say you are too tired to work out. If it is too hot or cold outside, then prepare for indoor exercises by joining a gym or purchasing workout DVDs. Eat right throughout the day to keep your energy level up and to feel good. The better and healthier you feel the more likely you will be to stick to your fitness plan.
If you have allowed excuses to rule your fitness plan then make no more excuses. Let today be a no excuse day. Don’t think too hard about it, just focus on your goal and get moving.
