Bye-Bye Bachelorette

Any bets on how long this union will last?

No takers here. I actually thought that Jen Schefft would make it last with The Bachelor Andrew Firestone.

Boy, was I wrong.

Those two broke up, and then Schefft took her pity party to The Bachelorette and struck out there too.

Now, it appears as though the 32-year-old blonde is finally looking to make it work. Last night the former reality TV star married fellow Chicagoan Joe Waterman in what some described as a “traditional yet modern” Windy City ceremony.

Translation: They got hitched in a popular Italian restaurant near the West Loop.

The couple got engaged last September, roughly a month before Schefft got laid off from her sales job. After she got axed, Schefft had to revamp her wedding plans. She became determined to have a low-cost, but high-style ceremony.

The ceremony included about 70 guests and “good wine.”

Schefft met Waterman four years after giving up on reality TV romance, and now says she hopes to live happily ever after out of the limelight.

Too bad Schefft’s former fiance doesn’t share the same goal.

Season No.3’s Bachelor, Andrew Firestone can’t keep his mug out of magazines.

His latest foray back into the public eye came a couple of days ago when he publicly dished about last season’s Bachelor star Jason Mesnick getting dirt kicked in his face by Melissa Rycroft—the woman he proposed to and then dumped on national TV.

Firestone tells Us Magazine that he doesn’t know if Mesnick and current girlfriend Molly Malaney will last, but he is certain that Rycroft’s rise to stardom on Dancing With the Stars is some serious payback.

“I bet you it has to be difficult for them to watch Melissa and all her success!” Firestone tells Us, laughing. “Talk about sweet revenge for her!”

In March, Firestone told Us that the latest Bachelor “was acting like an ass” for rejecting the DWTS finalist in front of millions of viewers.

Oh, and by the way, Firestone also added that he is free to hoof it on the popular ABC dance show next season.

Surprise, surprise.
