It is fall and that means it is time for football. I grew up in the home of a diehard Cougar football fan. My dad is such a fan that last week he forced himself back to work after recovering from pneumonia so that he could attend the football game without any argument from my mom. While I love BYU football and basketball, it is difficult for me to keep up with it in North Carolina, especially since my husband is not a huge fan.
However there is a great site that allows you to keep up with not only football or basketball, but also all of BYU’s athletic departments. The site is BYUCougars.com. This site is full of information about upcoming games and ticket sales. Additionally you can find a schedule of all the games and the different formats that you can use to watch or listen to the games. It is important to support all the athletes of BYU, not just football and basketball.
You can have your child join Cosmo’s Kids Club. This will get your child passes into two home football games and five home basketball games. Additionally she will receive a T-shirt that will get her free admission to any BYU NCAA Olympic sport game. If you are from out of state, you can receive a T-shirt, a magnet, a poster, a Cosmo DVD and an e-newsletter. You can also find a link to the different sports camps offered through BYU.
The site talks about many of the different programs that help to support team spirit and good will. You can also learn more about extramural sports on this page. The spirit sections shares interesting stories about the rivalries between BYU and the other universities in Utah. I certainly learned something that I had not known before.
