Candy Cane Cake
Very pretty christmas cake perfect for mint lovers!

INGREDIENTS:
1 box white cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 egg whites
1 tsp peppermint extract
1 jar vanilla frosting
1/2 cup crushed candy canes

DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Generously grease and flour two cake pans.
2. In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil and egg whites with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds; beat on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
3. Stir in 1/2 peppermint extract.
4. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes.
5. In a small bowl, mix frosting with 1/2 tsp extract.
6. Frost cake and sprinkle candy canes on top.
