Carson’s Having a Baby and MTV’s Having a Ball

Technically, it’s Carson Daly’s girlfriend who’s having the couple’s first child, but the TV talk show host is thrilled still the same.

Reps for the 35-year-old host of “Last Call With Carson Daly” just announced that Siri Pinter is in fact pregnant with Daly’s baby. Pinter is a staff member on Daly’s late-night show. The two reportedly started dating about a year ago. Interestingly, the couple have never been photographed in public together and not much is know about Daly’s baby mama save for the fact that she is in her mid-20s, attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has family in Minnesota and likes to eat sushi (information obtained from “Last Call’s” website).

Regardless of how well they know each other or how long they’ve been dating, Daly’s rep insists the TV star is excited about his upcoming role as a father.

“Carson is thrilled to be a father and they are looking forward to an extra special Thanksgiving this year with family and friends,” Daly’s rep announced yesterday.

The former MTV host and Pinter will reportedly welcome their child in early spring. Prior to that Daly can be seen hosting the upcoming “New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly” on NBC.

After that you can probably catch Daly at MTV’s inaugural ball for President-elect Barack Obama.

The network just announced that it will host the “Be the Change Inaugural Ball” at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington on January 20th. The event will be broadcast live across the MTV network, including MTV.com.

Network execs say the big shindig will feature A-list celebrities, singers, dancers and government officials. In addition, to celebrate the record youth voter turnout in the election, the network plans to invite hundreds of young people to attend the party based on the positive contributions they’ve made to society.
