Britney Spears seems to be making a comeback and while her life is still probably considered crazy by some standards, things do seem to be working out well for the former pop queen.
She’s getting ready to head out on her Circus tour in March, but she may not be alone. Custody arrangements are being worked out with her ex, Kevin Federline, so Britney will be able to have her boys join her on the road. Right now, Kevin has primary custody with Britney having 50-50 access to them in visitation rights, so Kevin is working on a schedule where he and the boys can meet Britney at certain concert sites. This should give Britney the same access to three year old Preston and two year old Jayden that she has now.
Trying to be a fly in her comeback ointment is ex-manager Sam Lutfi. He has sued Britney and her parents for defamation and breach of contract. The suit was filed in LA courts on Tuesday and says that Jamie and Lynne “launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney’s life.” Well, duh, yeah they tried to get him out of her life. Britney was having breakdown after breakdown and her parents didn’t think Lutfi’s influence was helping any. Lutfi also claims that his reputation was damaged by stuff Lynne wrote in her book “Through the Storm.”
Apparently Lynne also dealt some physical damage to Lutfi as he claims she punched him in the chest, which resulted in injury to his “nervous system and person.”
The lawsuit goes on to claim that Lutfi and Britney had reached an agreement where he would get 15% of her earnings as her manager. What does he have to back this claim up? A text message he received from Britney on October 13, 2007.
Right before Lutfi filed the lawsuit, Jamie had gotten a restraining order against him, saying he was harassing the Spears family.
