Week in Review: The Virtuous Wife to God’s Will

This week I shared about the Proverbs 31 woman and how we can strive to be like her, how people can open themselves to Satan’s realm by activities that involve mind submission, the parental role of a mother while she’s pregnant, and what it means to really turn your will over to God. A friend of mine recommended I write a blog on The Proverbs 31 Woman: The Virtuous Wife where I could share ways I have applied her example in my own life. It was a really neat activity to try and helped me to see where I could … Continue reading

Week in Review: White Lies to White Rags

This week I talked about the potential damage white lies can do, a lesson we can teach our children when a siren sounds, God’s “valentine” to us, being the woman I want to be, and an analogy of sin. In Dishonesty and the Little White Lies, I wanted to talk about the potential dangers of telling even half truths. I don’t know a person alive who hasn’t lied and even those of us who value integrity and are better at avoiding outright lies often have a hard time with little white lies and half truths when used with the best … Continue reading

Week in Review: From the ABC’s to Mom’s Law

The ABC’s of Family Bliss discussed several different attitudes and actions we can implement in our homes to provide a more loving, Christ-centered environment. Tips included things such as: Never nag, be joyful, listen without needing to comment, perceive the needs of each member of your family, and encourage your family members to serve each other. Leading a Child to Christ in 4 Steps laid out ideas on how to carefully and effectively bring a child to Jesus. You must show the child the plan of salvation from the Bible. Explain the verses and ask questions. If the child is … Continue reading

Week in Review: Choice to Children

This week I took some focus on various topics such as the freedoms we are given by God, the role model a father can be to his children, I shared what I believe to be a Biblical perspective of being narrow-minded, growing up in spiritually, and lessons we can learn from children. One of the most difficult questions to answer is why does God allow bad things to happen? In my Freedom of Choice blog I share what I believe to be the answer. I believe God’s will was/is always good for our life. I believe it’s mankind that has … Continue reading

Week in Review: Skeptics to Being Busy

This week I wanted to put a little more focus on reaching out as Christians. I shared about dealing with those who are critical and skeptical; the challenge in witnessing to such and handling debates when they arise. I also wrote about the harvest of souls ready for a savior, giving your all, and making time for God. In Skeptics and Critics: The Challenge, I talked about some of the challenging questions asked by those who are skeptical of Christianity. The Bible tells us we should have an answer for the hope that is in us so it’s important we … Continue reading

Week in Review: Snow to Freedom

This week I tried to make a spiritual correlation between snow and the cleansing of our sins through Jesus Christ, being saved by works and by grace, about the odd dream I had and how being a Christian means truly being set free. In the first blog I shared this week called Snow, I thought about what the Bible scriptures say about being washed in the blood of the Lamb and being made white as snow. Since it was snowing, I was able to look out my window and better understand how beautiful the message of being cleansed by God … Continue reading

Week in Review: Faith to Black Friday

This week I talked about what faith is as defined in the Bible, whether or not there is ever a time to be violent, the importance of taking a time for rest in our week to recuperate, and what I learned the day after Thanksgiving while braving the mall early in the morning. In my Faith Is… blog, I define “faith” as stated in the Bible as well as give examples of Biblical characters of great faith. The Bible is full of scriptures regarding faith and the importance of applying it in our own lives. Is There Ever A Time … Continue reading

Week in Review: Our Messiah to Children and Spiritual Battles

This week I wanted to address the Biblical prophesy of Jesus Christ our Messiah, the many dispensations of time in the Bible, and work on a two part series about children and the devil; one addressing when to tell your children about him and the other on giving your kids the tools for protecting themselves in their lives through by the power of God. In Jesus, Our Promised Messiah I touched on statistically how likely it is that Jesus is the messiah who was foretold throughout the Bible. Within, I provided a link that addresses 365 scriptures that He has … Continue reading

Week in Review: Fresh Starts to Who’s Happy

This week I touched on five topics: Fresh starts for your new year, finding moderation in your Christian walk, the execution of Saddam Husain, having faith in God, acknowledging Christians are not perfect and I also shared information gathered from a study regarding the happiest people in the United States. In Fresh Starts for 2007, I looked at the significance the Bible puts on the number seven. Seven seems to represent completion and makes way for fresh new starts. In Finding Moderation, I wanted to bring a point across that we can’t serve God too much, but we can get … Continue reading
