iPod Shuffle: Now in Color

Later week Apple announced that they would now be offering their popular iPod Shuffle in colors. Now where there was once only silver you can get pink, orange, green, and blue. I’m on Apple’s PR mailing list so I actually got a press release for these in my inbox the morning they came out. Although I am a pretty big Apple dork my initial reaction to the release was “Big deal.” With the color change comes no more functionality, not more features.it’s the same old iPod Shuffle, except now it’s brightly colored. Just this past week I was reading an … Continue reading

Transfer Music To Your Computer From Your iPod

I love my iPod. I carry it in my purse with me almost everywhere I go and will pull it out when I’m waiting in a long line, in a doctor’s waiting room, or anywhere else I may have to be for a long period of time. I recently received the Nike + shoes so I can now run with my iPod and track how fast and how far I’ve gone as well as how many calories I’ve burned in the process. One of my friends recently purchased an huge 80GB iPod. He transferred all of his music off of … Continue reading

iDisguise: Does Your iPod Need Security?

Worried about your child’s iPod being stolen? I recently received a message from the company idisguise. The company has created a collection of cases, that disguise your iPod as a container of candy. The product only works fro iPod Nano’s, and is essentially an Altoids can with a little padding. Once inside, the idea is other people will simply think your Nano is a package of mints, and not be inclined to steal it. Decent idea in principal, kid wise though I would almost think your just as likely to have your can of Altoids taken out of your book … Continue reading

Cell Phone MP3 Players

I went to visit a friend on mine in New York last weekend. I had never been to the city so she took me on a whirlwind tour of all of the big sights like Times Square, Radio City etc the night I got there. While we were walking around in Manhattan she pulled out her cell phone and decided to play a few songs she had downloaded that morning as our “Soundtrack to touring New York”. As we talked about it I found out that the music files on her phone were not originally downloaded as soundtrack music, but … Continue reading

Portable iPod Speakers

I have done a lot of traveling in recent months for work. One thing that always seems to be absent in every hotel room is a CD player. For some reason it never occurred to me before that most hotel rooms don’t come with any sort of music playing device inside them. Music, more and more has become a huge part of my life, so these past few trips the absence of a CD player has becomes rather obvious. I have an iPod, so I have been listening to it late at night with ear phones in often dreaming of … Continue reading

With the upgrades to all of the iPod models I am seriously considering making a new iPod purchase this year. Here are all the iPod models and what’s new: iPod Shuffle When you think of an iPod shuffle you more than … Continue reading
