More counterfeit coupons: Amp, Pampers, Duracell

Here’s another update on counterfeit coupons. Remember the story about the free AMP coupon being counterfeited? Well, Pepsico has taken the real coupon out of circulation. This was so widely counterfeited that NONE of the free Amp coupons will be honored. Retailers that accept these coupons will not be reimbursed. Gee, thanks, CHEATERS!!!! If you have a real free Amp coupon issued by Pepsi, and not printed from a counterfeit pdf on the internet, contact Pepsi at 1-800-433-2652 for a substitute. People who are counterfeiting these coupons are subject to criminal prosecution or civil action. This is serious, folks. If … Continue reading

The All You Grocery Challenge – I’m Out

Well, I fell off the Walmart wagon. The All You Challenge to spend less than $25 per person for four weeks fell the way of the college kid home for a visit. For the first two weeks, I did great – here alone. I used my vege garden, my stockpile, and my coupons. I came well under the $25 limit. When my college age son came home, I figured out the groceries just fine – came to $40. But then, we went out to dinner. That ended the challenge for me. You just can’t have a college age child home … Continue reading

More Summertime Savings

One of the great things about summer is that Fall is the time when many new products are introduced. That means that retailers want to clear space for the new stuff, and lower the prices on those big ticket items you’ve been wanting but could not afford. Computer sales have fallen in the past quarter, due to the economic problems of many consumers. Let’s watch out for great sales – just be sure when buying a computer that you are buying what you need, instead of settling for less. New computers are due to hit the market soon, and the … Continue reading

Counterfeit Coupons – Beware!

There have been several counterfeit coupons going around which I wanted to warn our readers about. It breaks my heart, but the coupon that was available from the MyCokeRewards.com site for a free 12 pack is no longer available. Coke has withdrawn this wonderful premium due to counterfeiting. These coupons were illegally duplicated, and many were sold on ebay. Often when you find a coupon for a free item for sale on Ebay, you should suspect counterfeiting. It isn’t always the case, but when the seller has unusually large multiples of the coupon that is pretty much a dead giveaway. … Continue reading

FOOD FIGHT! Target Expands Groceries to Keep Up With Walmart

I love Target’s coupons. Their website is one of the best for giving you printable Target coupons which really save you money. I love the merchandise, the convenience, and even the cashiers who don’t always understand couponese. I have only one problem with every Target I have visited that is not a Super Target. There just isn’t enough on the shelves in grocery, cleaning, and health and beauty. They run out of things. There isn’t much variety. Sometimes they don’t have the very items their website generates coupons for. Groceries and items that we buy with coupons have not been … Continue reading

Tip: Buy produce in bulk

In my ongoing quest to find the cheapest sources of organic produce, I made a few discoveries in the past month. I think we all know that buying in bulk can often be a great way to save some bucks. But we don’t typically think of that principle working for produce, do we? Think again! I recently started going to The City Market in Kansas City. Read more about that in my recent blog post: Produce Brokers. This is the type of place where you can do a little bit of negotiating. So here’s where the bulk buying came into … Continue reading

Produce Brokers

I recently started going to The City Market in Kansas City. Once or twice a week, they do have a farmer’s market there, but every single day of every single week (year-round!), they have the “city market.” Now, I don’t know exactly how to describe it, but as I understand it, the vendors are produce brokers, meaning they buy wholesale and supply the grocery stores. I don’t know much about it; all I know is that the produce is DIRT CHEAP! Of course, when I first went, I had to keep reminding myself that most of the produce is conventional, … Continue reading

DealDebbie’s New Deals Blog

I’ve been a deal hunter since the 1980s – sending away for refunds, saving and trading proofs of purchase, combining double and triple coupons with refund offers, and attending coupon conventions. Our online networking has made “meeting up” for trades and finding out information so much better, easier, friendlier. And the web has made it easier to find coupons and traders, print coupons and forms, and participate in rewards programs and take advantage of online codes. Online deal hunting has added to our own coupon junkie jargon. Some of the more frequently used terms for coupons on this site are: … Continue reading
