Toy Story Mania Opening!

Toy Story Mania is now open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and will open at Disney’s California Adventure in June (June 17). The park’s Imagineers have been tweaking the attraction after visits from Disney Vacation Club members and members of the press. What’s the vote on the new attraction? If you were watching “American Idol” this week when David Cook was announced as the winner, then you likely heard him shout “I’m going to Disney World.” So what’s up with that? Disney has always been so good at naming things that it is hard to believe they might actually try to rename something. Their titles for movies, music and attractions are always so well picked that they become household names that few people ever forget. Disney-MGM – The Jedi Show

The Star Wars weekends may be over, but one of their most popular features is about to become a permanent attraction at Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World. As a Star Wars fan, I’m excited about this. Disney is working on completing construction of a new stage for the Star Wars Jedi Training Academy. It will be located on a large patio area that is outside the Star Tours attraction. At this time, Disney officials haven’t commented on whether the construction will be removing the AT-AT Walkers or the Ewok Forest. There will be two endurance events happening this October – the first is the Race for the Taste and the second is the nighttime, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K. Last weekend marked the 30th anniversary since Star Wars: A New Hope premiered on movie theater screens. I actually remember that weekend, it was the first movie my mother ever took me to see.
