Review of Jobster.com

Job Site Name/Link: Jobster.com Basics: I just found this job seeking site and I was really impressed with it. It has some features that I haven’t seen before and I also thought that the information is presented in a user-friendly manner. Pros: The search engine on this site draws from a number of different job sites, so it consolidates your search and can save you time. However, the purpose of these posts is to give you the pros and cons of each site and so I knew that I had to come up with some pros. I almost chickened out and deleted this … Continue reading

Review of CareerBuilder.com

Job Site Name/Link: CareerBuilder.com Basics: This is my favorite job seeking site. The site draws from local and national job listings and combines them all together in one place. This lets you search for several different kinds of jobs at the same time. You can even look for jobs in several different cities. There is a salary section on the “Advanced Search” form where you can specify what pay range you are willing to consider. … Continue reading

Why Review Job Seeking Sites?

I am about to start some reviews of job seeking sites and I realized that I should probably explain myself before I start. Why bother to review job seeking sites? Well, when I have looked for a job in the past it has been hard to even know where to start on the internet. Some job sites were helpful and some were a waste of time. Of course, every site claims that they are THE BEST! Not very helpful when you are trying to decide where best to conduct your job search. This is the introduction to a series that … Continue reading
