Thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Today is Thanksgiving and while my family that is close is not celebrating until tomorrow I can’t help but sit down for a few minutes today and think about all the things I’m thankful for as it relates to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. First, and foremost, I am thankful that I have a loving Heavenly Father that sent his son, Jesus Christ to die for my sins. The Lord is In the Details of our Lives

This past weekend, I had an experience that may seem small and insignificant to some, but it meant a lot to me. One of my children had the stomach flu. It is my least favorite thing as a parent. The Atonement Also Applies to Motherhood

We hear it all the time. “Be Ye Therefore Perfect, Even as I Am.” But, we also hear just as much that we are not expected to be perfect in this life. It is a goal. Last night, as my husband and I were watching our nightly general conference talk, we watched Elder Uchtdorf’s talk, Of Regrets and Resolutions. I was really impacted by his talk. He has become one of my favorite general authorities to listen to, and his talks always impact me in a way that motivates me to action. Teaching Values to Your Children

Yesterday, my 1st grader came home and told me that a girl at school was being a bully at recess. Of course, I asked a million questions trying to get more details regarding what happened.
