Media Week in Review July 14th – 19th

We had a great week here in Media Reviews! In case you missed out, here’s a summary of what we discussed. We started the week with an author interview. Pictures of Hollis Woods is a Newbery Honor book from author Patricia Reilly Giff. It’s the story of a foster child who grows into herself and finds a family. Don’t miss the well loved picture book The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear by husband and wife team Don and Audrey Wood. It’s about a little mouse who outsmarts a bear, but is maybe outsmarted himself! The Confession is by well known Beverly Lewis and is about an Amish family, secrets, and shuning. “Firstborn” by Robin Lee Hatcher is a Christian novel about an unplanned pregnancy, lifelong secrets, and forgiveness. “Dragonflight” is a popular science fiction book by Anne McCaffrey.
