Journalers Junction

When creating a scrapbook layout, I think that the two most important elements are the pictures and the words. Possibly the most important of the two are the words. This journaling is what tells us why this moment was important enough to record on a layout. It tells us the details of the event or person in the layout. But, sometimes the journaling is a last minute thing that is just put onto the page to cover just the basic details. I suspect that most scrapbookers would enjoy spending a little more time on their journaling and would be pleased … Continue reading

Journaling Written By Hand

One of the most prized and protected possessions I have is the original handwritten letter from my biological mother after I had been contacted by her. I cherish it, and love looking at her beautiful handwriting. Another favorite item, cherished, is a card from when I was a little girl from my great grandmother. She wrote the sweetest card to a 6 year old little girl in her shaky handwriting, but it makes me smile each time I read it. The sight of a special someone’s familiar handwriting can warm the heart. But most of us really don’t like our … Continue reading

All About Me – Food

These are all things you should scrapbook about and keep preserved for future generations. Getting started is easy, think about the foods and drinks you consume each day. Think about the one’s you might not be able to survive without. If I never had a “Venti Cafe Mocha” from Starbucks again, I’d be pretty depressed, since it’s my favorite drink. I’d also … Continue reading

And the best part is… you don’t even need to have a photograph for some of the things! Scrapbooking about yourself is an important process in preserving your memories for future generations. Imagine your sixteen year old grand-daughter someday, looking through your albums and coming across a layout with your favorite things listed. Imagine how much fun it will be for her to see that you loved Pizza, “The Notebook”, drawing, singing and chocolate when … Continue reading
