Looks can be deceiving…
I always thought actor Dylan McDermott and his wife Shiva Rose had it all. They are both incredibly good-looking; they both have successful careers in Hollywood; and they have two healthy and adorable kids… what more could you ask for?
Apparently, something must be missing because today their rep told the media that after nearly 12 years of marriage the couple has decided to separate. The actors have been married since 1995 and have two daughters, 11-year-old Collette and 2-year-old Charlotte.
So what went wrong?
The couple’s rep is staying tight-lipped, but you have to wonder about the timing of the split. After all, McDermott has been on a roll career-wise. He had a great run playing defense attorney Bobby Donnell on “The Practice,” and this season he’s back on primetime in the new ABC drama “Big Shots.” Meanwhile, Rose just appeared in a romantic comedy opposite David Moscow.
You have to feel sorry for those two girls…
While McDermott and Rose sort out their marriage problems another Hollywood hottie is dealing with his own family crisis.
Mega-star David Beckham was seen rushing through L.A.’s airport yesterday in an attempt to board the first flight to London. According to Beckham’s rep, the soccer star’s father reportedly suffered a major heart attack and remains in the hospital.
According to British newspapers, 59-year-old Ted Beckham (his real first name is David) is in stable condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit following surgery.
You’ll recall Ted Beckham made headlines back in 2005 when he published a book called “David Beckham: My Son.” It’s been reported that Ted failed to get his son’s permission to write the book and the two became estranged because of it. But, according to some reports, the pair recently reconciled prior to David accepting the position as a midfielder for the Los Angeles Galaxy. He joined the team this summer after signing a five-year, $32.5 million contract.
British newspapers also report that Beckham’s wife, former Spice Girls singer Victoria, cut short her trip to Japan and was flying back to Britain to meet up with David.
