Celebrity Baby Ba Ba Ba Boom

The singer whose music helped push me through all 26.2 miles of the Chicago marathon (and whose tunes helped me get over a split from my college boyfriend) just had a new baby.

Sarah McLachlan and her husband Ashwin Sood welcomed their second daughter last week. The newest Sood joins big sister India Ann who is 5-years-old.

The actor who I watched throughout middle school try to get his costar to remember who he was (remember when Hope came back as amnesia ridden Gina) is about to be daddy. “Days of our Lives” actor Peter Reckell and his wife of 9 years are expecting their first child in November. The 52-year-old Reckell tells Soap Opera Digest the baby is a girl.

Fellow super cute soap star Sydney Penny (Julia on “All My Children”) and her husband, producer Robert Powers, welcomed their first child, a boy, on May 31st. The couple, who have been married for 12 years, named their baby Chasen August and TV Guide reports he weighed in at 7 lbs and is 19 inches long.

One of my favorite Food Network chef’s Tyler Florence and his wife Tolan Clark recently welcomed their first child together. According to Florence, son Hayden was born on May 23rd in San Francisco and weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces. Florence has another son from a previous marriage and will soon be giving birth later this year to a new restaurant in New York.

The lovely (her personality not her hair) Lisa Bonet is reportedly expecting her third child. This will be her first with former “Baywatch” hunk Jason Momoa. The 39-year-old ex-“Cosby” kid already has an 18-year-old daughter Zoe (whose father is Lenny Kravitz) and a 12-year-old son, Desikachar Kest, whose dad is yoga instructor Brian Kest.

Actor Mehki Phifer and his fiancée, Oni Souratha, are expecting their first child together in December. The new baby will join Phifer’s 7-year-old son from a previous marriage.

Finally, just a few weeks before her colleague Campbell Brown announced her pregnancy, NBC correspondent Norah O’Donnell and her husband chef Geoff Tracy announced the arrival of their twins. The couple welcomed their first children on May 20th, in Washington, D.C. Daughter Grace weighed in at 6 lbs, 8 oz, while her brother Henry was 5 lbs, 2 oz.
