It’s been a busy week for pregnant celebrities (and their spouses). An award winning athlete, a former television witch and a rocker all welcomed new additions to their families. Here’s a look at who will be sleeping a bit less in the nights to come (well, at least their nannies will).
According to PEOPLE magazine, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart and University of Southern California basketball player Brynn Cameron welcomed a son on Tuesday. Cole Cameron Leinart was born in California, and weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz.
PEOPLE reports Leinart had to be rushed from afternoon practice to the hospital where Cameron was in labor and arrived just in time to see his son born. For all of you who are asking Matt Leinart who? The 23-year-old is a former Heisman trophy winner from USC and current National Football League player who happens to be a close pal of Nick Lachey. He also made headlines when several magazines linked him romantically to Paris Hilton around the same time Cameron, who is a basketball star at USC, announced she was pregnant with Leinart’s child. Got all that?
Moving on, “Charmed” star Holly Marie Combs and her husband welcomed their second child, Riley Edward Donoho, Thursday afternoon in L.A., PEOPLE magazine reports. The new baby joins big brother Finley, 2½.
“Everybody’s great,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Holly is tired, but she’s fine. Riley came right out and as soon as he heard Holly’s voice, he smiled. He has hair like Elvis – a full head of black hair. The doctor said he came out looking like a 2-year-old.”
According to the magazine, Combs met her husband on the set of Charmed, in which Combs starred as the oldest sister among a trio of witches including Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan.
Finally, according to news reports, Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi and his wife, British actress-turned-photographer Amanda de Cadenet have their hands full–they welcomed twins – one boy, one girl – on Thursday.
The new additions are the first children for the couple (De Cadenet also has a 14-year-old daughter, Atlanta, from her 1991 marriage to Duran Duran bassist John Taylor), who met five years ago on an MTV shoot and were married secretly on a beach in the Bahamas during a break from the Strokes’ summer world tour.
