Celebrity Baby News—-Baby Girl, Baby Shower, Baby Steps

BABY GIRL

It’s been a year of milestones for music producer Timbaland. He and pal Justin Timberlake set out on another joint venture; he was one of the first celebrities to reach out to embattled pop train wreck Britney Spears; he got engaged to his girlfriend and publicist and just a few days ago he became a father of a healthy baby girl.

Timbaland’s fiancée is Monique Idlett. After two years of dating Timbaland proposed to the mother of his new daughter at the couple’s baby shower last month. According to friends of the couple, the pair plan to tie the knot sometime next year.

BABY SHOWER

She didn’t get engaged at her baby shower. In fact, she didn’t even get to keep the gifts. Rather, Nicole Richie donated the goods gathered at her recent Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower to charity.

The former reality TV star and her rock star boyfriend Joel Madden are due to become first time parents (reportedly to a baby boy) sometime in January. Earlier this week the couple hosted a Beverly Hills baby shower and requested guests purchase gifts for the 100 expectant families being served by the newly formed Richie Madden Foundation through the Los Angeles Free Clinic.

By the way, Richie didn’t go home empty handed. While her friends and family members donated gifts to the charity, they also brought gifts for Nicole and Joel to keep – including one children’s book from every guest to help build the baby’s library.

BABY STEPS

New mom Elisabeth Hasselbeck just gave birth to her first son and is not expected to return to her day job at “The View” until January, but she’s still found a way to keep her mug on the ABC chatfest.

Last week the “conservative” member of Barbara Walters’s crew hinted to Babs that she is warming up to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Apparently, Clinton sent Hasselbeck a note congratulating her on the recent birth of her son Taylor Thomas.

According to the New York Post, upon receiving the correspondence from the presidential hopeful Hasselbeck e-mailed Walters, who quoted her saying that Clinton’s note was “truly a most thoughtful and warm act. I may actually change my vote.”
