Celebrity Baby Talk

Babies, babies, babies. They are the talk of Tinseltown. From Jennifer Lopez’s rumored pregnancy with twins (announce you’re pregnant already) to Nicole Richie’s burgeoning baby bump to Halle Berry’s upcoming appearance on Oprah’s show to spill the beans on her new baby belly.

And, then there’s Brooke Shields. The mom of two—-daughters, Rowan, 4, and Grier, 1—-says she is ready for baby No.3.

“I would love it,” Shields recently told reporters at a publicity event. “I might have to bind and gag my husband [Chris Henchy] because I think he’s happy with the girls he has in his life, but if I can I’ll do it!”

The actress, who appears on the cover of the magazine, says it took her a while to lose the weight from her last pregnancy, but she would happily gain it all back (and lose it again) to have another baby. Shields also revealed that losing weight in the beginning was just a quest to “not feel pregnant anymore.” Now she maintains a workout routine that includes yoga and spinning three times a week.

Perhaps Shields could add swimming to her exercise regime. I’m sure four-time Olympic gold medalist and new mom Janet Evans would love the company.

“I swam throughout my pregnancy and basically 10 days after she was born,” the 36-year-old star athlete told reporters at a celebrity fundraiser last week. “Swimming throughout the pregnancy really kept me fit and made it easier. And my OB said it was the best thing that I could do.”

Ten months after giving birth to her daughter Sydney, Evans says she is almost at her goal weight and was determined to make an impression at the event in her sleeveless dress.

“I’d be disappointing all of the Olympians if I didn’t look good after having a little one,” she said.

Speaking of fashion forward moms let’s get back to Jennifer Lopez. I mentioned earlier that the 39-year-old singer has been the subject of increasing pregnancy rumors. Well, she didn’t help to quell the rumors last night when came onstage in New Jersey during the kick off of her current concert tour wearing a flowing baby doll top and flared bottoms by Roberto Cavalli. Lopez reportedly changed outfits three more times – all modest, loose-fitting ensembles by Cavalli – and kept her dancing to a minimum.
