GOOD NEWS
I guess being a new mom, an author, a clothing and fragrance designer, and a former reality TV star was simply not enough for Nicole Richie.
The “Simple Life” star says she wants to see her mug on the small screen again and recently announced that she will be making her TV comeback by turning her 2005 book “The Truth About Diamonds” into a drama series.
Paris Hilton’s BFF just wrapped up a cameo shoot for the hit sitcom “Chuck” and now says she is looking to star in a new production based on her own coming-of-age novel.
Richie reportedly signed up as a producer on the series and rumor has it she also plans to appear in the show, although it is not yet known whether she has given herself top billing on the show.
During an interview with E! News Richie said, “I would definitely produce and definitely be in the show. I don’t know if I need to be the star of this show. I’ve got a lot going on right now.”
Including writing her second book. Her first novel, which insiders say was loosely based on her own life, tells the story of a girl adopted by a legendary singer who hits the Hollywood party scene and ends up in rehab.
Personally, I think “loosely based” is a severe understatement.
BAD NEWS
As if she doesn’t have enough to deal with right now with rumors that her marriage to husband Guy Ritchie is over, Madonna has now become the target of car vandals in New York.
But, according to police, it’s not because of the way she sings.
The Material Girl’s SUV was attacked in New York’s Central Park on Monday, but officers say Madonna was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident and was not directly targeted.
According to police reports, a chauffeur was driving the singer’s vehicle, when two teens reportedly threw a large rock at the car, damaging a back window.
No arrests have been made in the case.
