Celebrity Life and Death—-Hello to Baby and Good Bye to a Four Legged Friend

When singer Charlotte Church announced she was pregnant with her 8-month-old daughter last year she revealed that the pregnancy was a “surprise.” Well, apparently, the young star and her rugby playing boyfriend must like surprises because according to reports, the 22-year-old is about to add another member to her family.

“Here we go again,” reads an entry on Church’s website.

In her statement to fans the Wales-born singer turned TV personality says she is due to give birth in November approximately six weeks after her first child, daughter Ruby Megan turns 1.

Church says while the news caught her off guard she and her 26-year-old boyfriend are “delighted” by the news. The Voice of an Angel singer also confirmed that despite the pregnancy, she will continue to host The Charlotte Church Show through August.

On a sadder note celebrity mom Tori Spelling has been on an emotional roller coaster lately.

Just 10 days after the birth of her newborn daughter Stella, Spelling just revealed that her beloved dog of 11 years, Mimi LaRue died earlier this week.

“She was a star and a true lady, and she will be missed greatly,” Spelling told PEOPLE magazine. “People everywhere knew her by name. I loved when fans wanted her over me. I felt proud!”

Spelling says her four-legged companion died in her arms at the family’s home surrounded by Spelling’s husband Dean McDermott, the couple’s 1-year-old son Liam, and baby daughter Stella.

“I’m devastated,” said Spelling.

The actress says her once playful pooch suffered from hip and neck problems and was not herself for the last year or so.

“I’m convinced she waited around to make sure I had the daughter I always dreamt about before she left us,” Spelling told the magazine.

Spelling often showed off Mimi LaRue at celebrity events in her trademark pink dresses. When her pup wasn’t posing on the red carpet she was strutting her stuff on Spelling’s reality shows, So noTORIous, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, and the new season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.

“She was not just a dog but a fashion icon and legend amongst Hollywood dogs,” Spelling says. “She received fan e-mail on a regular basis, and I often joked she got sent more designer clothes than me!”

The actress says she has not even given thought to whether Mimi LaRue will be replaced by a new diva dog.
