Celebrity Marriage Woes

After Mariah and Ashley’s big, fairytale weddings, there are more celebrities divorcing. It seems to be a never-ending cycle!

Ally Sheedy

Actress Ally Sheedy, who was a member of the Brat Pack in the Eighties, has separated from her husband, actor David Lansbury. If his last name sounds familiar, it is because he is the nephew of veteran actress Angela Lansbury. Ally and David married on October 10, 1992. Their daughter Rebecca was born two years later. While the couple has confirmed the split, it seems to be amicable. Ally’s parents divorced when she was young and she spent half the week with her mom and half the week with here dad.

Ally’s first big acting job was starring with Matthew Broderick in War Games in 1983. Her appearances in The Breakfast Club, Oxford Blues, and St. Elmo’s Fire cemented her place in the Brat Pack. She continued to work through the Nineties, receiving an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead for High Art. David had made many appearances on television, including “Law & Order,” “Murder She Wrote,” and “Sex and the City.” He also appeared in Michael Clayton.

Bill Murray

Having a not so amicable split is actor Bill Murray and his wife, Jennifer Butler Murray. The two have been married for 11 years, but Jennifer recently filed for divorce. Airing all their dirty laundry, she accused Bill of adultery and physical abuse as well as drug and sexual addiction. The couple has four children (Caleb James, 15, Jackson William, 12, Cooper Jones, 11, and Lincoln Darius, 7).

Bill’s career started with his stint on “Saturday Night Live” but is also known for his movie roles including Meatballs, Ghostbusters, What about Bob?, Groundhog Day, Scrooged, and Lost in Translation, for which he received an Academy Award nomination. He has two children (Homer and Luke) from his marriage to Mickey Kelly, which ended in 1994.
