So much for the Tina Fey rumor… It appears Jimmy Fallon is officially off the market. But, the groom-to-be is did not propose to any of his former “Saturday Night Live” co-stars. Rather, Fallon is engaged to girlfriend Nancy Juvonen, a Hollywood producer who worked on the actor’s 2005 romantic comedy “Fever Pitch.”
And by the sounds of it the proposal was as romantic as any Hollywood-produced love scene. According to a friend of the couple’s, Fallon popped the question in New Hampshire on the dock of Juvonen’s family home in Wolfeboro on Lake Winnipesaukee–the same place where “On Golden Pond” was filmed. The family friend goes on to say that Fallon proposed at sunset with a “one-of-a-kind rung designed by Neil Lane.”
This will be the first marriage for both 32-year-old Fallon and his 40-year-old bride-to-be who happens to be a close friend and producing partner of actress Drew Barrymore.
No wedding date has been set, though I would think it would happen sometime before Fallon takes over for Conan O’Brien. (Rumor has it Fallon will be the “Late Night” successor to O’Brien who is leaving to take over NBC’s “The Tonight Show” in 2009.)
Congrats is also in order for Olympic champion figure skater Scott Hamilton and his wife Tracie. The couple just announced they are expecting their second child in January.
The 48-year-old skater and his 37-year-old wife have been married since 2002 and already have a 3-year-old son, Aidan. The family currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
In addition to preparing for the arrival of his second child, Hamilton is also wrapping production on a series of episodes for the upcoming ABC TV series “Wanna Bet?” and AOL Television’s “Jury Duty.” He also continues to co-produce the still popular “Stars on Ice” show, which tours the country with some of the world’s best ice skaters. The production enters its 22nd consecutive touring season in January.
