HAPPY
A newly svelte Courtney Love says she is finally getting to a “happy” place in her life and is ready to move out of the shadow caused by the tragic death of her husband Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain.
Love recently announced to news reporters that she is planning to sell most of her late husband’s belongings.
“I’m going to have a Christie’s auction,” the 42-year-old widow said. “(My house) is like a mausoleum.”
While no date has been set for the auction, Love said she wants to get started as soon as possible… for her daughter’s sake. (Love and Cobain married in 1992 and had a daughter, Frances Bean, later that year. Cobain then committed suicide two years later.)
“My daughter doesn’t need to inherit a giant … bag full of flannel … shirts,” says Love said. “A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to ‘(Smells Like) Teen Spirit’ – that’s what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we’ll just … sell.”
Love told reporters that she plans to donate all the money raised from the auction to charity.
HAPPIER
She’s an Oscar nominee and now she’s a new mom.
“Whale Rider” star Keisha Castle-Hughes and her boyfriend, Bradley Hull, welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world last week.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the couple named their new baby Felicity-Amore. She reportedly weighed in at 7 lb., 6 oz.
The 17-year-old actress and her 20-year-old boyfriend have been dating for three years and live in New Zealand.
You’ll recall Castle-Hughes made headlines in 2002, when at 13, she became the youngest Best Actress Oscar nominee in Hollywood history.
HAPPIEST
She very well may be the happiest woman in the world today (wink, wink) having just barely escaped receiving a speeding ticket and yet another negative headline lambasting her driving skills.
Yes, I’m talking about pop princess Britney Spears.
According to police reports, the former Mouseketeer was pulled over by Beverly Hills cops along Sunset Boulevard Friday night for allegedly speeding—but (a big but) she was let off with just a warning.
Gee, I wonder how she got out of that one?
