A NEW BRIDE
Growing up my brothers and I would occasionally watch “Full House.” The sitcom that catapulted the Olsen twins to fame stuck around for eight seasons and had a loyal following. But, I’ll be honest; while the rest of the country was going gaga over Michelle Tanner (played by the Olsen’s) I thought Jodie Sweetin (who played middle daughter Stephanie) was infinitely more appealing.
She was cute… had great hair… and did a great job delivering her lines (as limited as they may have been). Now Sweetin is all grown up and is (as of last week) a new bride… for the second time!
The 25-year-old actress reportedly wed her 30-year-old boyfriend at the Little Church of the West, a Las Vegas Strip wedding chapel. This happens to be the second marriage for Sweetin who was previously wed for four years to a Los Angeles police officer.
Man I’m old.
A NEW GIG
If you are a fan of Glenn Close then you must be thrilled that you will finally get to see your girl on a regular basis (without having to rent her movies). The actress is starring in a new legal thriller on FX and says she couldn’t be happier about her new gig.
The 60-year-old actress has carved out quite a distinguished career in Hollywood, including stints on the big screen, Broadway, and television. You may recall her most memorable role on TV occurred just two years ago when she played LAPD Capt. Monica Rawling on the fourth season of “The Shield.”
Close now plays a sweet-talking, high-stakes attorney who enjoys playing mind games on the FX series “Damages.” According to show creators, “Damages” is meant to co-exist as a “thriller and a textured melodrama.”
A NEW SIGHTING
It’s true; that was Michael Jackson peeking out from behind a 1903 Wright Flyer a few days ago. According to the Washington Post, Jacko recently toured Smithsonian’s National Air and Space and American Indian museums with his children before the buildings opened to the public.
“He wanted to show them the sights,” the 48-year-old pop star’s rep told news reporters.
Witnesses say while Jackson lingered over the vintage aircrafts his children spent time with “Star Wars” robots R2-D2 and C-3PO. Jackson is reportedly in the Washington, D.C. area scoping out a vacation home.
