“Dancing with the Stars” hottie Julianne Hough is the proud new owner of a diamond and18-karat, white-gold ring. Only it didn’t come from her fiancé. Or, make that, former fiancé. Rather, the mega-watt sparkler was a gift from someone who wants to be her new fiancé—-actor Kevin Connolly.
The 33-year-old “Entourage” star is in L-O-V-E with the 19-year-old professional dancer. At least that’s what he told Howard Stern on his radio show. Last week Connolly told Stern that he has been “actively pursuing” Hough since meeting her at a Los Angeles hot spot last month.
It is no RUMOR! The ring is real, though it is not an engagement ring—-at least not yet. According to PEOPLE magazine, the actor stopped by a Los Angeles jewelry store and shelled out several thousand dollars on the ring for Helio Castroneves’ blonde dance partner. Store employees also revealed that Connolly made no secret who the ring was intended for.
Eagle-eyed fans of “Dancing with the Stars” may have caught sight of Hough’s new bling on Monday’s show. Her rep confirmed to PEOPLE that Hough wore the ring when she and Castroneves did the paso doble and the fox trot. However, Hough’s rep insists that Connolly (who previously dated Nicky Hilton) and the teen dancer are “just friends.”
Dear Julianne, for the sake of your fans the world over, run, don’t walk away from Connolly.
Unreal!
What in the world is a 33-year-old man doing “actively pursuing” a 19-year-old? And, where is Hough’s reported fiancé?
Listen to me Julianne, don’t be blinded by the bling. You can do better than Connolly—-his name is Apolo Ohno.
DEMI’S DAUGHTER GETS PRIMETIME GIG
It’s no RUMOR that Rumer Willis has a new gig.
The 19-year-old daughter of famous parents Bruce Willis and Demi Moore has just been named Miss Golden Globes 2008.
Willis follows in the footsteps of other Hollywood royalty offspring such as 2007’s presenter Lorraine Nicholson (Jack’s daughter), 2004’s Lily Costner (Kevin’s daughter) and 1995’s John Clark Gable (son of Clark).
Willis’ parents are no strangers to the award show. Moore is a two-time Globe nominee and Bruce Willis is a four-time nominee – and winner for the TV series “Moonlighting.”
The 65th annual Golden Globes will be broadcast live Sunday, January 13th, on NBC.
