Celebrity Rehab – Who’s In and Who’s Out

In case you have not heard the news, Lindsay Lohan left the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center this week. That is right – after almost two months, Lindsay is out of rehab.

He father helped her pack up to leave. Formerly estranged from his daughter, Michael, who has had his own addiction problems, said he is blessed to have his daughter back in his life. He said Lindsay is in a “stronger place” than ever before and that she just needs to divert herself from bad influences. She was photographed at the treatment center partaking in healthy activities such hiking and biking as well as yoga, rafting, and riding horses.

Lindsay is set to shoot her next movie Dare to Love Me in LA, but the young actress will continue addiction treatment as an outpatient. She released a statement, which said, “It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable, because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs.” She followed up by saying “”I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career, and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so.”

Let’s hope this round of rehab takes. Lindsay has been in rehab three times this year and had a DUI in July. Her problems with the addiction and law certainly have not helped her at the box office.

Speaking of multiple rehab offenders, actor Tom Sizemore said he has quit drugs for good. Unfortunately, he said this from Kern County jail, where he is serving time for probation violation. He was caught with methamphetamine in his car in May.

Tom will be released next month, but he will be attending a drug therapy program until then. He told the Bakersfield Californian that he did not want to trade his career for some powder and that he got another chance.

I watched Tom’s reality show and he certainly seems like a tortured soul. But, I also think he is an incredible actor, having starred in “Saving Private Ryan” and “Black Hawk Down” among other films. Hopefully this will be rock bottom for him and he can rebuild from here.
