Now that she is a newlywed it appears Mariah Carey wants to settle down even more.
The pop star is reportedly negotiating a deal that would have her following in the footsteps of Celine Dion, Cher and Bette Midler and Sir Elton John by starring in a nightly Las Vegas show.
The job would require the songstress to take up residency in Sin City and would afford her a luxury most singers don’t have–consistency and a bit of normalcy (at least schedule wise).
Star magazine is reporting that Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino recently offered Carey a $100 million three-year deal that would have the pop diva performing nightly and eventually become the “Queen of the Las Vegas strip.”
Carey, who just made her first public stage performance as Mrs. Nick Cannon during a recent appearance in New York has remained mum on the reported deal.
Insiders speculate that if the deal is signed soon Carey will make an announcement during her next public appearance—-a free 35-minute summer concert at the Hollywood & Highland shopping complex on July 31st.
