Celebrity Update: Ellen Takes Five and Fed-Ex’s Ex Wins Big

ELLEN TAKES FIVE

Fans of Ellen DeGeneres’ daily talk show should brace themselves for a rerun today.

Five days after her doggy drama hit airwaves, DeGeneres has decided to take a break. The talk show host decided to cut short her taping schedule for the week. Which means new episodes won’t air until next Tuesday. It also means an entire audience full of people were gypped out of a taping.

The comedian turned talk show host has had a long and emotional week (at least according to her handlers) and decided to skip town for a few days.

If you have been living under a rock (and not reading my blogs) then you might not know about DeGeneres’ puppy problems. On Tuesday’s program she broke down in tears and told the story of how the pup she had adopted, and then given to her hairdresser’s family, had been taken back by the rescue agency he came from – crushing the her hairstylist’s young daughters.

The next day the doggy drama escalated as DeGeneres continued her public campaign to have the dog returned to her hairstylist’s family. The same day news agencies revealed that the owner of the dog agency had been receiving death threats – and that one of the partners there had filed a police report alleging harassment.

FED-EX’S EX WINS BIG

She is the original ex of Fed-Ex, but unlike Britney Spears, Shar Jackson’s life seems to be hitting a high note.

Last night the mother of Kevin Federline’s oldest children rapped her way to fame on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar – beating out Playboy Bunny Kendra Wilkinson.

The MTV reality show gave the former Moesha star a chance to flex her musical muscle. At a wrap party for the show, following last night’s win (which oddly enough she attended with Federline’s parents), Jackson told reporters that she is now considering a career in music. (Ironically, her kids’ father said the same thing upon dumping Jackson and marrying Spears.)
