Kate Middleton is adjusting to her new life without boyfriend Prince William. After nearly five years together, the couple recently decided to call it quits and as all things related to the future king of England the news made international headlines.
Be that as it may, the intense media scrutiny apparently hasn’t stopped Middleton from carrying on with her daily activities. The 25-year-old was recently photographed leaving her parents house (she reportedly flashed a huge smile at waiting photographers) for her own London flat. She was later caught by paparazzi carrying a tennis racket and smiling again as she walked along a busy street.
However, the report that caught my attention was the one that detailed her visit to her workplace (Middleton is an accessories buyer at a company called Jigsaw). She reportedly visited the offices to pick up paperwork to work from home this week. One London newspaper said she was on “compassionate leave.”
“Compassionate leave?” I wonder if you are entitled to the same privilege if you date and break up with a commoner… or is it just reserved for those who date members of the monarchy? Dating (and apparently breaking up) with royalty has its rewards. Get this: The Sun reported that Middleton’s boss (Jigsaw’s owner) offered her use of his private villa in the Caribbean, but she decided to remain in England. Now that’s some kind of boss! I don’t think I’ve ever had a boss who even offered me a tissue during any of my break ups.
Moving on.
There’s much happier news to report from Down Under. That’s where Anthony Field, the Blue Wiggle in the mega-popular Australian children’s band “The Wiggles,” and his wife recently welcomed their third child.
According to his publicist, Field has finally gotten the son he always dreamed of (he already has two daughters). The new baby boy named Antonio Carlos was born last Friday night. He was reportedly a week overdue and weighed in at 7.7 pounds.
