Let’s start with the latter since it really is like life imitating art.
“Melrose Place” fans undoubtedly remember the soap’s final episode, which featured Amanda played by Heather Locklear and Peter Burns played by Jack Wagner sharing a romantic beach wedding after they successfully faked their deaths.
It was the perfect ending to the wild ride the two characters took together on the small screen. Only the man who played Peter Burns now wants to recreate that sunset wedding ceremony with his real life love… the one and only Heather Locklear.
The only problem, according to reports is that Locklear doesn’t want to walk down the aisle again.
The National Enquirer is reporting that Locklear has declined a marriage proposal from Wagner because she isn’t over her split from her former rocker husband Richie Sambora.
The former “Melrose Place” co-stars have been dating for almost a year and by all accounts are happy together. Apparently so happy that Wagner bought an engagement ring for the actress with the hopes that she would agree to become his wife.
She didn’t, but according to the tabloid, Wagner is not giving up.
A friend told the National Enquirer, “Jack thinks she just needs more time.”
If she does eventually say yes to Wagner it will mark Locklear’s third trip down the aisle. Before she split from Sambora the 46-year-old actress was married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee. Meanwhile, Wagner was previously married to soap star Kristina Malandro.
In the meantime, one star couple who reportedly can’t wait to tie the knot is Super Bowl superstar Eli Manning and his fiancée, Abby McGrew.
The college sweethearts are reportedly planning an intimate wedding this weekend in Mexico.
According to New York’s Daily News, the 27-year-old New York Giants quarterback will wed his 24-year-old account executive girlfriend at the One&Only Palmilla resort in Cabo San Lucas.
The paper is reporting that the small, private wedding will include Manning’s brothers, Super Bowl XLI champ Peyton and former Ole Miss receiver Cooper, as well as their parents.
