Cereal to Feel Good About that Kids Eat

My children love to eat cereal in the morning or for a snack. For the most part I thought of cereal as just a cut above junk food. Most cereals are filled with sugars, additives, high fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils. Not the stuff I really need my children eating first thing in the morning or any time for that matter. So, I made the decision to find an organic cereal that they would eat. I found a few brands over the years but not one has made the grade like EnviroKidz. I am thrilled since EnviroKidz is affordable compared to other organic cereals and even many nonorganic cereals. In fact, I have found it at Kroger for under $3.00 a box. Not long ago, Kroger had it marked down to $1.89 a box. I stocked up as we go through a ton of this in my house. They have a few different kinds; Gorilla Munch, Koala Crisp, Leapin Lemur, Amazon Frosted Flakes and Panda Puffs. The most popular in my house is Panda Puffs followed by Koala Crisp and then Leapin Lemur.

EnviroKidz is part of the Nature’s Path which is a great company for high quality organic foods. When I turned the cereal box to the side and saw only a few natural ingredients I was hooked. The taste is what hooked my kids. They love it more than nonorganic sugary cereal. Anyone who ever asks me about kid cereal hears about Panda Puffs! Here’s why:

Gluten Free, Organic, All Natural

Ingredients:

Organic corn meal, organic evaporated cane juice, organic peanut butter, organic soy oil, sea salt, tocopherols (natural vitamin E), organic tapioca starch. Contains soy and peanuts.

So that is the new cereal craze in our home. I love being able to give them cereal on busy days or for a snack that I can feel good about. Of course I only use organic milk but that’s another story.

What is your child’s favorite cereal?
