Chan Banned, Spice Married, and Damon is Money

Jackie Chan Banned!

The highly popular Chinese star has seen his current film banned in China. Rush Hour 3 just opened, but the Chinese will not be seeing it. There is a scene in the film in which an organized crime family visits Paris. Of course, I am not talking the Sopranos here, but the Chinese organized crime family known as the Triads. This angered Chinese authorities, but the Film Bureau insists that is not the reason for the ban. They say they are blocking the release of the film for another reason. Apparently, only twenty foreign films can be released in China each year and the officials feel that Rush Hour 3 just won’t be that successful, despite the fact that the first two in the Rush Hour franchise were box office hits.

Scary Spice Marries

Just an old-fashioned girl, it looks like Mel B just wanted to marry and have babies. Now that Eddie Murphy has confirmed that her child is his, she has married her boyfriend Stephen Belafonte. Her representatives have confirmed that the two filed for a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada and they did marry on June 6. This is the second marriage for Mel B, who was married to dancer Jimmy Gulzar from 1998 to 2001. Now she just has to iron out those child support payments from former beau Murphy.

Matt Damon = Money

According to Forbes, Matt Damon is an incredible investment. After the great success of his latest film, The Bourne Identity, Forbes determined that Damon makes about $29 for each dollar he is paid. If you ask me, he is well worth the money!

Who else is money? Brad Pitt came in second, while Vince Vaughn and Johnny Depp were tied for third. The highest-ranking actress was Jennifer Aniston, who came in at #5. Also in the top ten were Angelina Jolie, Renee Zellweger, Reese Witherspoon, Ben Stiller, and Sandra Bullock.
