What a difference a year can make. While some maintain he doesn’t deserve happiness, Charlie Sheen is having one heck of a 2008.
Not only did he cut ties with former wife Denise Richards (though, when you are divorced from the other parent of your children, are you ever completely rid of them?), the same woman he dubbed “a pathetic example of a human being,” but Sheen also married his girlfriend Brooke Mueller and three months after the wedding announced that she was pregnant.
Now, on top of all that, Sheen just confirmed that Mueller is expecting twins. Twin boys to be exact.
“Life doesn’t get any better than this,” the Two and a Half Men star told OK! Magazine.
Sheen, who has three daughters (Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, from his previous marriage to Richards, and Cassandra, 23, from former girlfriend Paula Profitt) says he couldn’t be more thrilled to be adding sons to his clan.
“I’m truly blessed,” Sheen tells OK!. “I’m already the proud father of three beautiful daughters, and I’m delighted that they’ll now have two little brothers.”
It’ll be interesting to see what creatively snide or insincere comment will be released from Richards’ camp in the coming days.
GUY RITCHIE’S NEW GIRL
Well, that didn’t take long.
Then, again, maybe that’s the point.
Less than a week after announcing he and his estranged wife Madonna were calling it quits, Guy Ritchie is reportedly shacking up with a new love… a much younger (than his wife) new love.
According to Us Weekly, 40-year-old Ritchie has begun a relationship with 31-year-old British actress Kelly Reilly. The pair reportedly met on the set of Ritchie’s upcoming movie Sherlock Holmes.
The magazine is reporting that within 72 hours of announcing his divorce from the Material Girl, Ritchie sent his driver back to the London mansion he once shared with Madonna to pack a few bags for an extended stay at a nearby hotel where Reilly is also residing during the movie’s filming.
Hardly a shock considering the rampant rumors of infidelity that has plagued the Ritchie’s marriage.
