Chris Brown is Going Down

He may have been able to sweet talk his way back into Rihanna’s life, but things are far from rosy for singer Chris Brown.

According to reports, Brown will be in court this afternoon facing charges of felony assault and making a criminal threat, in connection with his arrest last month involving a badly beaten Rihanna.

If Brown is convicted of the criminal threats charge he could face up to nine years in prison.

Today’s court hearing will also shed light on new details that are emerging about the alleged attack that left the 21-year-old award-winning female recording star with a bloody lip, numerous scratches and multiple bruises.

Last night, the Fox affiliate in Los Angeles published notes from a search warrant in the case. According to the documents, Rihanna found a three-page text message on Brown’s phone from an unidentified female. This discovery reportedly sparked an argument between the couple and Brown allegedly tried forcing Rihanna out of his moving car, but couldn’t because she was wearing her seat belt. According to the documents, Brown then allegedly shoved Rihanna’s head against the passenger window and began punching her while driving. He then allegedly bit her on her ear, her fingers and placed her in a headlock. The detective’s notes say that blood was found on Rihanna’s clothing and in the interior of the car.

In regards to the criminal threat charge, the detective’s notes maintain that Brown threatened to beat and kill Rihanna.

According to the notes, Brown allegedly told Rihanna, “I’m going to beat the **** out of you when we get home. You wait and see.”

The purported death threat came after Rihanna allegedly called her assistant for help.

Upon hearing Rihanna call for help, Brown reportedly told Rihanna, “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you.”

TMZ.com is also reporting that in a separate interview with police Rihanna admitted that Brown had hit her in the past and that the attacks were getting “more violent” as time went on.

With or without Rihanna’s testimony it looks as though Chris Brown is going down for losing his temper.
