Christmas Angels Drive Comcast Trucks

Saturday was crazy at our house, as I’m sure it was at yours, too. We had a few last minute things to pick up and so we headed out to the store. Up against the north side of the building, the ice and snow had built up into a skating rink, and we decided to park on the east side instead. I ran in with two of our children, leaving the two youngest in the car with my husband, one of them being in time out.

On the way out of the store, we passed the slick patch of ice, and I noticed a Jeep spinning its wheels and skidding. There seemed to be a congestion of vehicles there, but I couldn’t really tell what was going on.

As I climbed back in with my husband and now-calm younger children, I could see what was going on. The Jeep was stuck on the ice, and a man in a Comcast truck was backing up to within towing distance. He then climbed out, hooked a rope around the Jeep’s bumper, and proceeded to tow the Jeep out of its predicament.

I asked my husband what was going on. Was the man in the truck a friend of the people in the Jeep, or had he just been in the right place at the right time? My husband replied that the Comcast truck had just been there, and the man had seen the need and taken care of it. There was no need for the people in the Jeep to call friends or a tow truck – they found the help they needed right there.

Saturday was a crazy day, and I’m sure all of us had things we had to get done. But one man in a Comcast truck saw a need and took the time to fill it. He even warned other shoppers not to park on that spot, but directed them toward better spots in the parking lot. May we all be a little more aware of the needs of others and do what we can to fill them, this Christmas season and every day. We may just become an angel to someone else.
