Clay Aiken is Going to be a Daddy

Pigs haven’t learned how to fly and the hottest place imaginable has not frozen over…

It’s the absolute truth: Clay Aiken is going to be a father.

At least according to a rep for the brother of the woman who is pregnant with the “America Idol” runner up’s spawn.

A rep for mega music mogul David Foster confirmed to TMZ.com that Aiken impregnated Foster’s sister, music producer Jaymes Foster.

“It is true Clay is the father,” according to Foster’s rep. “Jaymes was artificially inseminated by Clay. She’s due in August.”

I know. It takes a few minutes to process, doesn’t it?

Apparently, the shocking news didn’t come as a surprise to those who know Aiken well. According to reports, Jaymes and Aiken have been friends since his “American Idol” days when she helped him on a few songs. The 50-year-old divorced music maker also executive produced Aiken’s album “A Thousand Different Ways.”

TMZ is reporting that the 29-year-old singing sensation and Foster are best friends and that Aiken lives at Jaymes’ home when he is in L.A.

The child will be the first for both Aiken and Foster whose marriage to some Hollywood no name was dissolved a few years ago.

Aiken’s camp has yet to comment on the big news, but sources close to the singer say he plans to play an active role in raising the child (whenever he’s in L.A.).

Frankly, I was floored by the news. After all, Aiken is the same guy who claims to be intensely private. So private in fact that he refuses to answer questions about his personal life – in particular, his sexuality.

The second-season “American Idol” runner-up once told TV’s “Access Hollywood” that he didn’t think, “people who are living in Omaha or in Charlotte or wherever, want stuff like that pushed in their face.”

Aiken went on to say that he wants to be known for his music not his personal adventures.

Yeah, fat chance of that happening now.
