Do you have a little one who is a big fan of Clifford? If so, visit this website, where you’ll find all sorts of learning adventures and fun activities that are all about the big red dog.
At Clifford’s website, you can clock on a friend to play with: Clifford, T-bone, Cleo and the rest of the Clifford gang. In Doggy Detective, kids can click on clues to recover a stolen medal. There are several other games to play and other activities. The website offers plenty of opportunity to read and develop reading skills.
Younger children will love the printable pages, such as the matching game. Children can color and cut out cards with their favorite Clifford characters, then use the cards to play the traditional game.
If kids prefer to play a computing matching game, there is one here, too. Kids have to match colored inner tubes with the colors of the swimsuits wore by the characters.
Having two Cliffords may confuse adults, but children seem to take them in stride. There are actually two different Clifford shows: Clifford The Big Red Dog, based upon the best selling books, and Clifford’s Puppy Days which feature Clifford as a tiny little puppy. The website features games and activities for both shows. One game called, “Which Clifford” uses the two Cliffords to its advantage, teaching kids about size and spatial relationships.
Other features of the website include interactive stories to explore, such as “Leaf of Absence.” You child can listen to the story as it is being read, and click on some of the words or phrases to make things happen.
In the child-friendly version of an e-card, children can send postcards with pictures of Clifford and his pals.
The backstage button will allow curious kids to take a video tour of the studio, read about the actors who voice the characters and learn how to draw Clifford.
