Close to My Heart has always been one of my favorite scrapbook related companies. I don’t know if it’s because it is one of the first experiences I ever had with rubber stamps and I bought dozens, or if it’s because I love everything they offer and I’m still buying dozens!
The story of Close to My Heart and it’s beginnings is an interesting one, actually.
The founder, Jeanette Lynton, started her first direct-sales decorative stamp business in 1984. This business venture eventually turned into the former company D.O.T.S. (Dozens of Terrific Stamps). This was when I was introduced to the company. I was absolutely in awe of Jeanette’s personal designs, that she obviously created straight from the heart. In 1996, Jeanette then introduced a full line of scrapbooking products and techniques under the name, “Close To My Heart.” (also known as CTMH). After four years, in 2000, she combined both lines into the new Close To My Heart name.
Close To My Heart is a leader in the scrapbooking industry offering both an extremely rewarding business opportunity mixed with amazing new products including their exclusive My Acrylix™ stamps and 9” x 9” scrapbook albums with coordinating papers.
This company has grown in leaps and bounds and finally, in 2003, included an expansion into Canada. Thousands of consultants are sprinkled throughout the entire US and Canada and are successfully growing Jeanette’s dream still, while working on their own.
Recently I had the opportunity to work closely with a Close To My Heart representative. Learn what Theresa Lawson has to say about Close To My Heart and her amazing business that is growing each day by checking in tomorrow for her great interview!
