Hang on to the teleprompter Ron Burgundy is heading back to the TV studio.
Yes, the rumors are true. According to Will Ferrell, he is in fact returning to the big screen as 1970s newsman Ron Burgundy in a sequel to hit comedy “Anchorman.”
According to Ferrell, “Anchorman 2” will be a go provided he can bring the original cast back.
Also headed to a movie theater near you in the near future… the Jonas Brothers.
And not only will the singing sensations be appearing on the big screen, they will also be hitting it in all their 3-D glory.
According to Walt Disney Studio execs, the tween heartthrobs will star in a movie featuring footage from their upcoming “Burning Up” concert tour.
The brothers appeared this year in fellow Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus’ successful 3-D concert film, which raked in more than $31 million in its opening weekend in February.
Disney movie execs are calling the upcoming project “more than just a concert, this film will take moviegoers inside the band’s creative process, and present them in a very intimate and entertaining way.”
The Jonas Brothers concert tour begins July 4th in Toronto and crisscrosses the United States before closing August 31st in Essex Junction, Vermont. Meanwhile, their new movie is set to be released next year.
Finally, it’s already one of TV’s most stylish shows, and now “Gossip Girl” is kicking it up a notch by going even more high fashion.
According to show producers, on May 19th Vogue cover model Lydia Hearst will join the cast as Lily’s posh interior decorator Amelia.
Hearst is considered one of the hottest models in the industry right now but admittedly has very limited acting experience.
Apparently, if you look as good as she does prior experience is not required.
Still, Hearst says she has no jitters about playing the part especially since her real-life best friend, Michelle Trachtenberg is this season’s other new cast member.
