Coming Soon to a Small Screen Near You

If you thought Carmela’s homemade pan of ziti was heavy then you haven’t seen the new 30-disc box set with every episode of HBO’s “The Sopranos.” The hefty collector’s item weighs in at nearly 10 pounds… and that’s not the only shocking number associated with the DVD set.

When the seven seasons worth of episodes (plus two bonus DVDs) hits shelves on November 11th it will be priced at a whopping $400.

The bonus discs include an interview with creator David Chase by Alec Baldwin. Plus, die hard fans of the show (likely the only ones who will be willing to fork over 400 bucks for the set) will also be treated to two “Supper with the Sopranos” features—-recorded sit-down dinners with Chase and various actors discussing their favorite scenes, auditions and other aspects of the show.

You will also get to hear how Chase decided which stars to cast for the award-winning series and what drove him to evolve the characters the way he did. The discs also include music soundtrack CDs that were previously released, and 16 scenes that were filmed but never made it on the air. Finally, at the very end of the set is a recording of a New York seminar on cast members who were whacked and various spoofs done on the show during its eight year run.

Noticeably absent from the discs’ “extras” is Tony Soprano himself, James Gandolfini.

Maybe for $500 a set the big guy would have made the effort.

Moving on…

Donald Trump has stooped to a new low… if the rumors are true.

According to new reports, the Donald somehow (yeah, I’m sure he really had to twist hard to make this happen) got Heather Mills to agree to be a part of the new installment of The Celebrity Apprentice.

The reality TV show that pits B (and C and D)-list stars turned Trump wannabes against each other in an effort to raise money for charity returns to TV next month.

The real estate mogul refused to confirm rumors that Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant will appear on the show. In fact, he is refusing to reveal if Mills even made it onto the list of contenders.

According to Trump, “Because The Apprentice did so well last time around, lots of people want to be on it. Including Heather Mills.”

The names of the celebrities who will star on this season’s show will be revealed next week.
