With summer wrapping up, I have been trying to capture as many of those carefree summer moments as possible with my digital camera. The weather has been cooler this month, and I can’t believe that school will be starting soon. I will definitely miss my oldest child, since he will be starting first grade and be gone all day.

Digital Camera Tips: Photographing Scenery

This summer, we have been taking a lot of photos of scenery lately, since we have been on so many family summer adventures. Scenery doesn’t move, so it should be easy to photographing with your digital camera, right? Well, Yes, and no. Scenery is usually easy on you when you want to get a sharp photo, especially if you use a tripod, but scenery can be present its own set of issues, too. When you take scenery pictures with your digital camera, they can sometimes wind up looking very flat and uninteresting.

The New iPods

Rumor has it that the iPod is in for the next revolution on the Apple agenda. Reports are coming in about a possible special media event to be held by Apple sometime in September. During that event, industry analysts predict that four new Apple iPods will be introduced, each based on the successful Mac OS X operating systems.

Dell Cancels Colorful New Notebooks

You may remember I reported on how Dell would be offering some colorful new notebooks to its lineup in an effort to capture some of the home PC market. Well, it seems that the “clumsy” company is now scrapping the idea, even after orders have come in to the company.

Turning Your Car Windshield into a Desktop?

Microsoft recently submitted a patent application for a very interesting application that appears to be a way of turning your car windshield into a sort of computer desktop. The patent application calls the device an “Adaptive heads-up user interface for automobiles.” The application also includes some drawings that clearly represent an automobile windshield that contains a sort of overlaid interface.
