Remove your solid cabinet doors and replace them with new frames and chicken wire panels. This will give you an open feel in your kitchen and display your collections. You can replace just a few doors as an accent or do all of them. There are two ways of going about this project. You can replace your existing cabinet doors with new door frames that are cut to fit your existing cabinets, as mentioned above. This will give you the most flexibility in your design. You can also just replace your existing door panels with the chicken wire netting.
If you do this project yourself, it should take you about two days. You’ll need the following supplies, available at any home improvement store.
Lawn and garden hex netting approximately 3 x 25-foot, although this size will vary according to your needs.
