As parents we all think we have the cutest, most talented children alive, at least I know I do. You are sure that if just discovered your child’s picture could be gracing the cover of a magazine or smiling back at you from the T.V. screen. But unless you live on the West or East Coast it is difficult to get your child discovered.
You might be wondering how you can get your child recognized. One way is through the website The Cute Kid.com. Their theme is “Smile. Snap. Show the World.”
The Cute Kid.com is a website that allows parents to upload pictures of their little darlings. Membership is free, you just have to sign up. You can choose up to three pictures a month to put on the site. Talent scouts frequently look through the submitted pictures looking for the child with that special something that will sell.
For a fee, your child’s picture can be entered in their monthly contest. Leading experts in the fashion and modeling world judge the contest. Their latest judge is Rhonda McKnight a New York Stylist and Casting Agent.
Pictures are judged on appearance, charisma, expression, image concept/ setting, and that special something.
Each month a winner is chosen from each category: Baby (0-12 months), Toddler (12-24 months), Preschooler (2-4 years), and Big Kid (4-8 years). Then the judges choose one overall winner. The winner in each category receives a $100 Amex gift card, their photo sent to top talent agencies, and entry into the yearly contest. The overall winner receives the category winner prizes as well as a $500 U.S. Treasury Bond.
Each year the site chooses a “Cute Kid of the Year”. This child receives a $5,000 sum, which is invested for the child’s college tuition. They also receive a shoot with a professional photographer and the portfolio submitted to top modeling agencies.
Remember that many photos are submitted every month and only one overall winner is chosen. Your child may not have that “special something” that talent scouts are looking for. But they can still be your special somebody.
