Exactly one week from today actress Eva Longoria will marry her French-born NBA MVP fiancé, Tony Parker in what is reportedly going to be a lavish affair in a massive castle south of Paris.
According to news reports the couple is throwing a his-and-her bachelor party in Saint-Tropez this weekend. French newspapers report the pair arrived in the resort town yesterday and the massive party is scheduled to take place at the exclusive V.I.P. Room. Big name guests include Jamie Foxx and Longoria’s “Desperate Housewives” co-stars. According to one of the club organizers, “the plan is for Tony’s friends to have one-half of the club and Eva’s party to be on the other side.”
The couple even brought their own entertainment to perform for their friends and family. According to sources, Longoria and Parker flew in hip-hop artists Cut Killer and MC Big Ali from New York City to entertain their guests in Saint-Tropez. In addition, the San Antonio Spurs’ star will reportedly also take to the mic at his own bachelor gig. (Did you know Parker has a hit rap record in France?)
The French press is also reporting that Parker and Longoria will spend one or two days in Saint-Tropez after the bachelor-party weekend before heading to Paris to exchange vows at the Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte, a 17th-century castle famed for its magnificent gardens. (See pics here.)
Of course, Longoria isn’t the first Hollywood princess to walk down the aisle in a castle. Material Girl Madonna got hitched to her husband Guy Ritchie at Skibo Castle in Scotland in 2000. Last fall, the world watched (well, they tried to watch, but settled for a glimpse) of the glittery union of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at Odescalchi Castle in Italy. Prior to that in 1999, Spice Girl Victoria Adams, wed at an Irish castle.
We’ll have to see if Longoria’s triple seven (07-07-07) wedding will be as lucky as the others.
