I saw this recipe today and it literally made my mouth water. I love easy recipes, and nothing makes a recipe easier than pre-made biscuits. This recipe utilizes them perfectly as the base for this delicious blueberry coffee cake.
The next time you’re having company over or you just want to make a nice breakfast for your family, give this recipe a try. It takes literally just minutes to make but the flavors will make your guests and family think you worked all morning. What’s better than that? Heck, they might even offer to do the dishes.
To make this recipe you’ll need:
Butter for greasing your dish
1 can (8 count) Grand’s Buttermilk Biscuits
½ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 stick butter, melted
1 ½ cups fresh blueberries
½ cup granulated sugar
1 cup oatmeal (you’ll use ½ cup at a time)
To make this recipe:
Grease an 8×8 dish with butter
Cut 8 Buttermilk Grand’s Biscuits into quarters (4 pieces).
Mix together ½ cup brown sugar and ½ tsp. cinnamon
Melt a stick of butter. Dip biscuits into butter then into sugar/cinnamon mixture. Lay in casserole dish.
Measure 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries. Add ½ cup sugar to the blueberries and toss together.
Add ½ cup oatmeal on top of the biscuits. Spread half of the blueberries over the top then add another ½ cup of oatmeal. Finish with the remaining blueberries. Drizzle any remaining butter on top.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. DEVOUR—YUM!
