Are you planning to attend a BBQ this Memorial Day weekend? A lot of families will be cooking on their backyard grills. Others will be hosting the type of family get togethers where everyone is required to bring some kind of food or desert item, that will be shared with the entire family. What are you going to bring? How about some chicken from KFC? They have some printable coupons on their website.
KFC, of course, stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken. At some point in the past, they shortened their name to just three letters. This could be the company’s way of sounding hip, in this modern culture where everything is shortened as much as possible so as to fit into a text message or Tweet. Or, it could simply be a way of making people forget that the F stands for Fried, which isn’t the healthiest way to prepare food. People tend to forget the original name of the restaurant, even when they are fully intending to walk in a buy some fried chicken.
The fried chicken from KFC is delicious. This is one of the fast food restaurants that my family enjoys. I can remember talking walks with my grandmother to the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant that was located within walking distance of our house when I was a young child. My father made us stop and eat at a KFC in Ireland, while were were on a family vacation once. I believe that anyone who comes to a family get together with several boxes of fried chicken from KFC would be immediately welcomed.
KFC is best known for it’s fried chicken, which used to come in “original recipe” and “extra crispy”. Those two choice remain, and others have been added. You can choose the healthier grilled chicken, instead. Pick up some chicken strips, which also come in either “original recipe” or “extra crispy”. They have wings, popcorn chicken, and even a chicken pot pie.
They also have chicken sandwiches, salads, and sides. The sides would also be a great thing to bring to a family BBQ this weekend. My family likes the KFC home style biscuits, and the mashed potatoes (with or without gravy). KFC also has cole slaw, BBQ baked beans, mac and cheese, and corn on the cob. You could be the hit of your family picnic this weekend, when you arrive with food from KFC.
There are coupons that you can print from the KFC website. Just fill in the form with your name, zip code, email address, and other info. The zip code is important. If there are no KFCs in your area, then the website won’t even show you any coupons. However, if there are, then you can easily print them out.
There are six coupons, for slightly different things. The best one for this weekend might be the either the one for a 14 piece drumsticks & thighs meal for $19.99, or the coupon for a 12 piece family meal for $21.99. Each comes with chicken, 2 large mashed potatoes with gravy, 1 large cole slaw, and 6 baked biscuits.
